Annual Event Gallery
This year Dalby Bridge Club hosted the annual Kenmore Roma Dalby festivities, and a fantastic time was had by all. We would like to thank our friends at DBC for their wonderful organisation and warm welcome.
Congratulations to the Williams team see image below (Chris Williams, Margaret Mobbs, Margaret Giebels, Diane McClintock) who won the day and became KBC's first qualifying team and will represent the club at the upcoming Brisbane zone finals being held late August.
And not far behind were the Douglas team (Heather Douglas, Peter Wilce, Jim Pope, Gayleen Trevaskis) who also earned a spot in the zone final.
The KBC Pairs Trophy competition was a huge success with fourteen pairs competing on Saturday 10th February. The competition was restricted to financial and loyal members of KBC and consisted of 7 rounds of 8 boards. Congratulations to Allan Byrnes and Unis Suliman who were crowned the 2024 Pairs Champions with 412mps. Runners up were Margaret Mobbs and Diane McClintock with 375mps, and in 3rd place were Mick Fawcett and Jill Dunning with 351mps. Well done to all participants!
KBC like a good celebration and what better time to celebrate than Christmas. 2023 had an additional element as we introduced our Awards presentation to capture the achievements of members over the year that was 2023.
Thanks to Anne Russell for all the images.
Congratulations to Renuka Mahadeven, Jim Pope, Gayleen Trevaskis and Mary Fletcher who won the 2024 Kenmore Rookie Novice Team Championships.
Kenmore Bridge Club celebrated its 13th anniversary on Saturday, March 9th. The club was formed by Tim Runting, Therese Tully, and Neil Sadler, and has grown from a handful of members to over 300. On Wednesday, March 13th, the club took a moment to reflect on all the achievements, celebrations, and triumphs since its inception.
KBC Congress is always popular and this year it proved to be a success on many counts, with both days at capacity. Facilities at Toowong club were excellent and very much appreciated. Several KBC rookie Pairs managed to go “up the ladder” to finish well in C Grade. This is testament to the KBC’s Beginner Classes and the Supervised Play programs.
The race that stops an nation also stops KBC. Enjoy the images of our biggest club session.
Thanks to Anne Russell for all the images.
