2026 Kenmore Bridge Club Novice Team Championship

The 2026 Kenmore Bridge Club Novice Team Championship was held at 98 Brookfield Road on Sunday, 15 June, bringing together eight enthusiastic teams for a full day of friendly but competitive bridge.

Directed by Graham Rusher and convened by Tim Runting, the event featured seven rounds of eight boards, giving every team a strong test of skill, concentration and partnership understanding across the day.

After a closely contested competition, the winners were the “Pope” team, made up of Naren Shah, Vena Shah, Gayleen Trevaskis and Jim Pope. The team delivered an outstanding performance, winning six matches and losing only one.

Close behind in second place was the “Goodridge” team of Phil Goodridge, Bonnie Goodridge, Stephen Mills and Anthony Mills, who finished with five wins, two draws and one loss.

The day concluded with everyone gathering to congratulate and toast the winners, rounding off a successful and enjoyable championship in true club spirit.
