KBC Rookie Novice Congress

The 2025 KBC Rookie Novice Congress was held on Sunday 31st August. With a field of 17 tables, 10 in the Rookie and 7 in the Novice category the day went without a hitch and was a wonderful success.

As always, Julie Jeffries, who served as our director for the event, exhibited a high level of polish and professionalism. As is customary, our members responded to the call and offered a mouthwatering assortment of freshly prepared food. Our kitchen assistants were outstanding, headed by the great Rick Webster, the food just kept flowing.

Winners of the Novice category were Pam Schiller and Kathryn Kelly (pictured), with third going to Vina and Naren Shah. In the Rookie category the winners were Ian Poole and Brooke Anderson, with Merle Thomas and George O'Brien in second place and Janette White and Alex Daw in third.
